Our Team (aka Board of Directors)

Carlene Elliott, President

Carlene brings a wealth of experience to Prosperina Mission, with her background in executive leadership at some well-known companies. Her expertise in strategic planning and team building have proven key to the success of the mission. Mother of 2 girls, Carlene keenly senses the need to restore the lives of youths broken by sexual violence.

When not involved in volunteer efforts here and with children’s church ministry, Carlene may be found walking the dogs, exploring new destinations, or reading a great book.

Audra Coil, RN, Vice President

Currently, Audra is working in a hospital emergency room, and raising a family of (description). She has a history of international missions, with years of service with Mission Medics, bringing medical care and news of God’s Kingdom to remote villages across the globe.

“I believe that the meaning of life is this: to discover the One who made you, discover why He created you, and then go and do it. For me, that is loving people through healthcare; it is what God made me to do. Prosperina Mission does that and much more.”

Audra earned a BS degree from Roanoke College, and a BS (Nursing) from Boise State University.

Georden Elliott, Secretary and Treasurer

Georden brings to Prosperina Mission a long history and deep passion for non-profit efforts, including Medical Teams International, Doernbecker Children’s Hospital (in Portland, Oregon), and Make A Wish Foundation. These clearly demonstrate his passion “to help others and serve the Lord.”

In addition, Georden contributes his career skills in managing teams, coordinating brand direction, and marketing programs. At Prosperina Mission, he fills the vital roles of Secretary and Treasurer, along with the more fun work of designing marketing materials.

His very full life is centered around his Christian faith and his role as husband and father to two wonderful daughters. Georden still manages to find time to enjoy watercolor painting, running, and motorcycling.

Ron and Nicki Coil

Officially, Ron Coil serves as member of the Board, but he and his wonderful wife, Nicki, are inseparable and sometimes indistinguishable! They are the visionaries and the driving force behind Prosperina Mission.

The Coils own and operate Pinelow Camp and Conference Center in northeast Washington, and they revel in the blessings of that ministry. However, their hearts are currently in Ecuador, where God has opened multiple doors for service to those people, beloved by Him.

Nicki has a long background in real estate, which has enabled them to financially support many ministries over the years. Ron is a PK (Preacher’s Kid) who can not only fix or repair anything, but can quietly tell stories of God’s providence that stir hearts to action.

Floridalva Zambrano Pinagrote

Known affectionately as “Flori,” Floridalva is the high-performance engine of Prosperina Mission, as well as La Prosperina Foundation in Ecuador. An attorney educated in the U.S., Flori has an intimate grasp of both legal systems which enables both to navigate bureaucracies for God’s glory.

For many years, Flori has had a deep concern for children who are abused by others and neglected by the legal system. Now that she has turned her law practice over to her nephew, she devotes her incredible energies to turning hope and vision into reality, coordinating an ever-growing number of volunteers, contractors, and workers to propel these missions forward.

William Overton

Outgoing, energetic, and committed, Bill has been uniquely prepared for his role with Prosperina Mission. With 12 years of experience working with and leading non-profit groups such as Aphesis Group, Young Life, and Climbers for Christ, he knows how to make a ministry such as this effective for the Lord.

Bill has extensive experience with Young Life in particular, so he was thrilled to learn of our plans to plant Young LIfe in unserved areas of Ecuador. Also, his work as a financial planner gives him valuable insight into the money aspects of the mission. He has a strong faith that God is indeed in this work. “I have seen so many incredible “coincidences” that I can’t help but want a front row seat for whatever is next.”

Bill is a devoted husband of nearly 30 years, and dad to 3 adult children. The Overton’s have made their home in Boise, Idaho for many years, where Bill is close to his beloved outdoors for hiking, climbing, fishing, and anything else having to do with mountains.

Jeffery Shaver

Jeff is a retired electrical and software engineer (BSEE University of Washington). He has a penchant for succeeding in ventures with little or no formal training, such as drama, music, writing, and serving on boards!

Jeff and his wife Melodie, have 4 children (1 adopted) and 8 grandchildren, and parented over 70 foster children. Together they jumped at the opportunity to serve with Prosperina Mission to help children in Ecuador.

His duties here include this web site, newsletters, and other communications things. His heart in this is to “give to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water….”

Currently, Jeff is part of the family’s burgeoning homeschool, tutors other students (mainly in math), and various volunteer roles at the local church in Federal Way, Washington.
